Tax question for moving into what was a rental

I moved back into a property I once lived in, moved out of and rented and now moved back into. My tax lady is saying I have to pay taxes on the depreciation I took the years it was a rental. I thought I only had to do that if I sold it. I am not selling it, I am moving back into it and making it my primary residence. Any help would be appreciated
