Looking for an Accountant (OR and NY)
Hi, I am looking for a a tax professional/accountant that works with rental property owners. I have lived in Oregon for the past 10 years and own two properties there (Single family and a four-unit) and will be transitioning my primary home/address to New York State, where I am buying a new home. I would prefer to work with someone that owns rental properties, but it is not a requirement. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Todd, most accountants that specialize in real estate taxation can handle multiple states and multiple properties. I do it all the time.
Now is a good time to find a professional to help with your taxes. You want to work with your accountant throughout the year to take advantage of tax planning opportunities.
