Yo Bp,

I’m on a family shared phone plan that is not in my name. Can I write off part of my phone bill?

Using it about 30% for all transactions & communications.

As @Ashish Acharya said, you need to be able to prove that you are paying for your part of the bill. Then the business portion of what you're paying is deductible.

Example: your family plan is $400/mo, and you're one of the 4 people on the plan, so you contribute $100 towards the bill. You use your phone 30% for business. You can then deduct $30/mo.
