Evicting a Tenant in a Property Owned by an Out-of-State LLC

Hi BP,

If a rental property is located in Florida and the LLC that owns the rental property is a Delaware LLC (or any other state), is it possible to do an eviction on a tenant in the Florida property? Are there any restrictions that prevent an eviction since the eviction is being done in Florida and the LLC is in another state?

Andy

I am not sure, but I believe I read somewhere that an LLC operating in another state needs to register with that state. So, you may want to check into that.
