Personal LLC Name&Logo - Intellectual Property

Posted

The name of my coaching business is The Players' Coach. I have my logo of an apostrophe. However, I discovered The Players' Tribune which is a journalism company that empowers professional athletes to share/write their own stories. The names are similar and their logo is an apostrophe. My company is new so I'd have the ability to change it without much trouble. Does this violate anything, or is there any I should be particularly mindful of in this situation? I don't know much about intellectual property laws - I have no intellectual property at the moment. Any feedback would be much appreciated, thank you!
