Operation Finally Home is building a home for a War Hero named Sergeant Stephen Jackel, mortgage free here in Dallas/Fort Worth. Since we all are real estate developers, I thought BiggerPockets would be one of the best source to help our War Hero receive a home.

In August 2011, while performing convoy security duties in Afghanistan, an IED exploded under the vehicle Sergeant Jackel occupied with his team. After the blast, Jackel saved the lives of his team members by getting them out of the vehicle and physically put out a fire inside the vehicle with his own leg. He sustained injuries resulting in required bilateral leg amputations. The home for he, his wife Adriana and their six children will be built in the Dallas area. We want to honor this american hero.

His long list of service awards includes a Purple Heart, an ARCOM-4 award for Valor and an Afghanistan campaign medal with two bronze stars, among others.
