Anybody Need Housing Data?
Over the last year I developed a suite of scrapers that capture the current state of the housing market for every county and city in America from MLS sites. I put it all online for free at Hidden Housing. You can view avg/median prices, sales, active listings, days on market, price drops, rents, airbnb revenue, airbnb occupancy rates, cost of living, climate risks, etc. The site helps find housing markets that are underserved and undervalued. These scrapers run continously, every single day and are maintained/hosted by me.
Currently I summarize all the listings by county and city and am going to start doing zip codes this summer. My end game is to allow dynamic summarization so a user can draw around a neighborhood or area and see the current housing stats for just that area. Before I fully commit myself to that though I wanted to get some feedback from this community on what features/data is and would be most useful for landlords/real estate investors.
Looking for feedback and general thoughts. There is a premium version of the site that allows users to look at all this data by number of beds/baths/sqft as well as other advanced landlord/investor centric features. This data can also be downloaded and used however one wants. In addition I'm considering opening up an API to this data as well.
No clue if a post like this is allowed in here but its worth a shot. If it violates the rules I apologize mods
