My first property: The beginning of the road

Investment Info:

Single-family residence buy & hold investment in Gainesville.

Purchase price: $150,000
Cash invested: $7,500

My first property, a 3/2 that I plan on turning into a 4/3. I am currently house hacking it while using it as my primary residence. I am saving and looking for a second house to move into, at which point my cashflow for this house should raise to around $500 monthly.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

I wasn't very picky, because I didn't have my buy box down completely, but I knew I wanted a cheaper 3 bedroom that I would be able to house hack.

How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Searched Zillow and networked through a church in my town. Met a lender and a real estate couple who helped me negotiate the deal.

How did you finance this deal?

The lender I met helped me get an FSA loan.
