Historic Soffit Board Repair Needed in Louisville!

Hello,

Thought I’d come here for help after striking out with several of the big time roof repair companies in town.

I have a duplex built in 1925 with 12-24 inches of wood soffit board extending from the building. It’s the kind of original wood soffit that I’ve only seen under the porch ceiling at Gelato Gilberto on Frankfort Ave.

I have a few places where the soffit board is damaged. I think it can be repaired with beaded plywood or even tongue and groove beadboard, but I am having a difficult time finding a contractor willing to perform this work.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I am including a photo.

Thanks,

Felix
