@Lamont Marable First off let me say.....that was awesome! Especially since that was your first phone call and you really didn't seem nervous at all. I can relate to this post because I just sent out my first mailing here recently and just started getting phone calls today. I was in a position where I had to send them to voicemail and it's a little too late in the evening to call back so I will be making phone calls tomorrow. I've talked to some sellers before though and I get a little nervous but all in all it's fine. 

We just have to remember that it's going to take a number of rejections before you get an acceptance. Don't get emotionally involved and if the seller is motivated they will work with you. That guy clearly wasn't motivated and just wanted to see if he could get retail price on his home. Nothing wrong with that but you're not the guy for that.
