Searching for my personal home. Near West End, Richmond, VA

Fellow BP friends,

I am looking for a house that needs some work that I can call home. Looking in the Mary Mumford / Tuckahoe area of Richmond, VA. If you know the area, anything and everything that makes it on MLS turns in to bidding wars and people are paying too much for some of these places. Yes its all about location, but I know there are deals to be had. You have to know someone who knows someone just to get something reasonable. A friend of mine just told me last week that he himself had sold his place at a good deal to someone he knew (Wish I was looking then!)

Anyways, please let me know if you come across anyone looking to sell.
