When you have a small fire or even burn food on the stovetop in a house or an apartment unit, most of the damage is causes by smoke and residual odors. There are several ways to fix these problems depending on the situation:

Burned food will usually result in a clear residue that might need cleaning from the surface of everything in the room.

Fires of all types but especially involving grease can require scrubbing to remove the damage from all surfaces of the affected room. i.e. walls, ceilings, furniture, cabinets, doors, handles and anything else you might think of!

Cleaning should be performed to remove the majority of the odor prior to the application of new paint. This is important because some of the odor source residue can be trapped behind the paint making it difficult to fully treat.

Methods of Remediation include:

  • Remove or treat source
  • Hot fogging
  • Degreasing and cleaning by hand
  • Dry Ice Blasting
  • Cold Fogging
  • Air Duct Cleaning
  • Specialty Painting
