How to: Educate Your Tenants About the Signs of Water Damage.
Water damage is not always a major loss from the start. Many times water damages will start with a small drip. If your tenants know what to look for It can save you the stress, headache and expense of dealing with water damage as an emergency situation.
Over the next week or so I will be posting about different types of water damage that you can catch early. Feel free to follow me, for more daily updates to come!
Discoloration of walls and ceilings is the first sign we will talk about. Usually this will present as a yellow, orange or brown stain(s) on the ceiling or wall(s). An Indicator of water that has leaked or may currently be leaking from above, some people may know this is obvious and others may not. When you find out from a tenant that there is discoloration like this in one of your units check it out as soon as possible!
