I bought a house a week before going to Europe - I get a video while in Rome from my PM of my garage burning down.  We had not even met the tenants yet but apparently the girlfriend caught her boyfriend cheating so took a baseball bat to all the windows, bought a bunch of gasoline and dumped it on his car and blew up our garage.  Like blew it up.  

About a year later they caught her and we pressed charges
