Millennials with student loan debt: check your email
The Department of Education said Thursday that it would wipe away student debt for 15,000 borrowers, [...] The debt cancellations will total about $150 million. [...] The Department of Education will begin emailing borrowers on Friday to notify them that their debts from the loans will be canceled within the next 30 to 90 days.
Student loan debt, at some point, is going to experience a "pop."
If you don't get that email but are a homeowner, FYI, FNMA has a cool program called the "Student Loan Cash-Out Refinance" that came out this year.
But, hopefully, you get that lucky email and your student loan debt is wiped out because it was predatory lending to begin with. :)
