Tenants and rent increases

Hi All,

When purchasing a multi with existing tenants paying below market rents, how do you go about increasing rents? Do you provide some sort of incentive?

What happens if a tenant doesn’t want to accept your rent increase notice?

Thank you!

Look at the market, make sure upping rents are justifiable. Review the lease agreements. Give notice, you don't need to give an inventive.
