Working on a rental all day , I get home to sit and relax , I walk downstairs to throw some wood in the woodstove , and squish squish , water all over the floor . Son of a .......... A pipe didnt freeze , a 1/2 inch sweat joint came apart , I just spent the last 4 hours with a rug doctor sucking water out of the carpet , and now have 4 large blowers going . No water till tomorrow , its a quick fix . Just another day ............................................

Whenever we turn over or fix up a newly acquired rental, we always say to ourselves, We should pay this much attention to our own home. So recently, last 2 years or so, we've started scheduling a day where we go through our own house like it was one of our vacant rentals, fixing all the stupid little things we have tended to overlook.
