How to address a Co-Signer Application?

I am renting a 3 bd 2 bath home, I have two college students interested and say they have a Co-signer if need be. Should I have the Co-Signer fill out the same application as the tenants? Or should it be different? Is there anything I should be aware of when renting to a tenant with a co-signer?Any advice would be greatly appreciated
