Landlords—Join Your Local Association (Worth It) + Ideas to Grow It?
As an investor and a property manager, I have found that joining your local landlord association is seriously one of the best moves you can make.
Here are the benefits I see:
- Legal updates & support – Stay out of trouble and up to date on changing laws.
- Events & education – Workshops, Q&As, great info sharing.
- Discounts – On screenings, contractors, materials—you name it.
- Networking – Swap stories, advice, and referrals with other landlords. Identify new contractors. Plus, find off-market properties.
- Backup – Got tenant issues? Someone else has been there and will have advice.
Most memberships are affordable, and the benefits pay off fast.
I am in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our association is county wide and just starting back up after having been long dormant. Does anyone have ideas on how we can grow our local landlord association? I'd love to hear what’s worked for others—social media, local events, partnerships?
Thanks!
