Hot Tub Repairs

My tenant asked me to repair a hot tub. Honestly, there has been a lot of expenses in the home lately, including some emergency one, and this hot tub repairs would go beyond my budget. This is California. I am wondering if legally I have to repair a hot tub immediatly or can explain the tenants it will wait few months?
