Direct Debit from tenants?

We just looked at a property yesterday and the current tenants pay their rent via direct debit.  Does anyone have their tenants bank accounts automatically drafted?  And if so, how do you set this up?  What are the benefits and drawbacks to this type of arrangement?

I have erentpayments.com. It cost $3. I can think of no drawbacks. Their service is pretty awesome.
