I found a multi family building 3 unit 3 stories in my area brooklyn NY region and i seen it boarded up did a lil reseach found out there was a big fire that burnt the 2nd floor up but i use to live there as a child and i know it has great potential when rehabbed but i don't know how much a project like that would be and is it too much if I'm beginner ? is it expensive dealing with burns or cheap ?

@Maurice Glanville

I think it is very dependent on how bad the damage was.  If you're serious about it, schedule some time with a realtor to view the property, and have a contractor do a walkthrough alongside you.  At the conclusion, go through the repairs needed to make it liveable/ideal.  Some folks may even offer free consultations.  Once you receive one estimate, you can shop around to other contractors to ask 'em what they would charge.

This particular article may provide more insightful information as well.  https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/67/topics/178553-fire-damage-flip---things-to-know

Best of luck!
