First time landlord in Texas

Hi all,

I am putting my SFR up for lease and I wanted to make sure that the house is up to Texas tenant laws. The only law I've heard of was to have C lock from the interior of the door. Are these necessary for all the doors going to the outside? Are there other laws that I should look into?

Any reputable locksmith will know the requirements.  Using a pro avoids those little things that might slip by...failure to resolve or change locks on the rental within 7 days of taking possession, for example.  The tenant can walk...
