Can a Property Management Company Become the Rentor Then Sublease

The law states that property management companies must be a licensed broker. Im wondering if there is a way around that. For example, can a PM company sign a lease agreement with the landlord that states that a sublease is allowed, and then the PM subleases the property to a tenant. Would this allow the PM company to fully advertise the house for rent?

Hello,

Yes.  Every state is different in their time periods or the number of transaction number that are required under a broker.  After that time period or transaction number you can sign off and start your own if that is a more profitable option.

Best wishes,

Lisa
