Post on Craigslist for rental AD

Hello there,

I always have been using CL to post the rental AD. It usually works very well and I could expect the emails flying in few min after posting it. However, I got 0 responds after posting my AD for 3 days. I always post a new ad with slightly different message every day to ensure it goes to the top of the search results. I also tried to search for my AD from the different device and it looks fine. After carefully testing it, it looks like the call and text feature is not working when clicking the link on iPhone. However, the email is working fine but I also received no email....

I also have posted the same AD on Zillow and received 10+ inquiries in 3 days. It means there is nothing wrong about the content of the AD or pricing.

Wondering if any landlord had the similar experience. I want to figure out what goes wrong and fix it.

Thanks a lot!

@Hui Kiang If CL thinks you're spamming, they will "ghost" your posts.  You write a post and it looks good to you - but only you can see it.

I don't know what metrics they use to make that determination, but you can test for it by logging out and then browsing CL from a private window.

Wait a half hour as posting can take some time.  Then, if you can't find your post, it means that you're ghosted.

You'll need to write an entirely new ad - and maybe create a new account.
