Is it more advantageous to have tenants pay for utilities which we’ll need to add as income OR deduct from taxes as expenses?

If you can get the tenants to pay utilities, you’ll always come out on top.

But, if it prices you out of your competition, that’s a bigger problem. You’ll see more turnover if your competition is cheaper for the same quality.

It’s all about knowing your competition!
