@Garry Hoffmann I don’t do the smart thermostats, too much oversight and micromanaging.
Look into Chicago controls- I installed them in all of my units and they save a bundle! During “wake” hours it is at 68. When tenant is asleep or at work it drops to 65. The tenant can always raise it to 71 but it will reset itself to 68 after 3 hours.
In my opinion it is so much better and takes the worry out of it.

Many years ago during the days of Oil heat a friend of mine installed one for the tenant to play with & one discreetly installed that actually worked left @ whatever the minimum required temp was.
