Hi everyone!;) Y’all May laugh at me when reading this, but my fortune teller told me at my last visit that real estate is my calling and I should seriously consider it!;) I know, y’all are prolly rolling your eyes and fall off your chair laughing by now😂 But that was like 8 months ago, and since then, I’ve ran into random people at parties, work and the most random places....everyone I met whispered into my ears, ‘ real estate’, ‘rental property’, ‘Just Do it (actually I think this was a NiKE commercial lol)! But the point is, I’ve been thinking hard about this topic lately and been reading lots of bIgpockets forum posts and blogs and even listening to a book by Brandon Turner on Rental property! This morning, I woke up and decided to look up requirements to become a realtor agent! Is this a good idea if I want to start my rental property investment!? Bc my mentor (yes, I even found myself a successful mentor in the real estate business😂) said this is a good way to learn the in and the out of the business! So, any problem with me taking online realtor classes for my pre-exam requirement!? Thanks in advance and I’m setting of goal of buying my 1st property by feb 2019! (I work better with an end goal and deadline!😂) ! Cheers!

@Loan Tran I got my license last year and have been doing the agent thing part time in addition to my day job. I've learned a ton. It's not a bad idea at all. Even if you do just one deal a year, the license will pay for itself because you will get the commission from buying your own property to cover the cost of the fees you pay every month to your broker. I've found that just getting access to the MLS is worth getting your license for there's a ton you can use on there to help your investment business.
