Hi BP Members:

I have realized that my trash service bill keeps going up, even though we have been a long time customer. I am using Republic Services ( This is the new name - I guess the original company was sold multiple times in the last 2 years) . I am paying $170 monthly for 1 building to have the large trashcan serviced  2 times a week.

Can you recommend if you have a company that can do better than this. At the end it just requires that they pick the trash twice weekly and not keep fluctuating on the cost. Any referral would be appreciated. Thanks!

Wow, it's $600 in Los Angeles for the same service. It was only half that before the City of LA signed an exclusive deal with one company and now negotiates "lower rates" on our behalf.
