Signing a lease ahead of move in

I have a new tenant for my rental property and will be signing the lease with him soon. The move in date is not for another 2 months. My advertisement stated that first and security is due at signing. Is this appropriate given how far in advance the rental contract will be signed? If not, what would be an appropriate amount to collect in order to ensure this tenant does not back out? In the past my tenant searches have lasted longer and there was much less time between finding them and the move in date so I've not had this situation before.. Thank you for any input!
