Apartment owners: are LVT floors louder/worse regarding noise com

Are LVT floors loud on multi-level Apartments? Should I stick to carpet with padding for noise reduction?

I just got a yr1965, 3 story apartment complex, mostly carpet currently, I originally planned on redoing all floors with LVT which I love using in my SFH's. although now I'm concerned it will make the floors louder for lower tenants. This was a "built for purpose" with what appears to be some sound insulation between the levels already(but old), but I still get noise complaints every once in a while from "late night" walking tenants/night shifters, I don't want more noise issues. Thanks!
