Tenant painted without consent

Posted

I have a rental in Maryland which I rent to women's college soccer players. Two of the four moved out when the lease ended although one was a struggle to get her stuff out on time so the next tenant can move in. While dealing with that I learned she painted without my written consent. What are my options with her security deposit since she has just moved out?

Repaint it and then deduct the cost to repaint from her deposit.
