I'm in a Facebook group for landlords. A majority of the posts are related to trying to find loopholes in these laws, or out and out ignorance of said laws.
Most Metros have fair housing nonprofits that investigate this kind of discrimination, sue landlords, and win or settle out of court. One of the Richmond organization hosts free seminars for landlords to properly learn the law.
For those of us that use property managers, we are not off the hook. We must make sure your property managers know and obey these laws.
