I’ve talked to a few landlords in MA, and a few in RI. And the general consensus seems to be that renting in MA can pose bigger issues with evictions and the courts. Has anyone heard any horror stories from either state or have any general thoughts on the subjects?
All the online “lists” I’ve seen seem to think RI is less landlord friendly, but the landlords I have talked to so far seem to think differently.
@Paul LaGrandeur each has its pros and cons. Currently, I own rentals in both states. It all comes down to how thorough you are, how efficiently you operate your property, and ultimately, what judge you get if it should ever get to that point. Overall, if I had to pick which was tilted more in favor of the tenant, so would have to say MA.
