Leasing/Subleasing
Quick question for landlords: Let's say I rent a two-bedroom place for $600/mo by myself. Would it be a problem if I then offered to sublease (via craigslist or where ever) the other bedroom for $400 month-to-month? I'm in college and I am trying to be thrifty and create ways to pay tuition.
It's obviously an unequal split, but I feel it's justified since I'm taking the risk and allowing potential roommates to go month-to-month.
What would be the landlords position on this? Beyond the legality, is this a useful idea or just some dumbassery?
