Should I give the tenant a receipt for the collection of the rent

As Landlord should I give the tenant a receipt for the collection of the rent each month? Or just with the Residential Lease Agreement its ok?

Not mandatory with the exception of cash payments. Most other funds will have some paper trail you can reference for previous payments.
