Potential Baltimore Homeowner Seeking Advice

Andrew Webster
Posted

Hello to all of you,

I wanted to ask for any insights... I'm in the process of closing on a property near the Lake Montibello area and was wondering would this be considered a desirable area for renting my place out in the case that I have to relocate for my job. Quick background- I'm a government employee and I travel quite a bit. On another note, would it be more beneficial to rent it out as a section 8 property or straight up rental in the event that I'm gone. The house has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and has been completely remodeled.

Thanks.

Be sure to check Baltimore City rules and regs before going the Air BnB route.  My understanding is that the city only allows Short Term Rentals under very specific circumstances, including that the property is owner-occupied.
