My tenants are moving out. And my property manager is charging me an inspection fee to check the conditions. Is this normal?

@Jimmy Chao If this is the move out inspection, mine don't. If the unit is vacant, they should be doing their job with advertizing and inspect it when they do showings and you pay for getting it rented.

@Jimmy Chao depends on what your management agreement says but for the most part pretty standard... unless you don't want them to inspect it.

@Jimmy Chao, good question. How long do you expect it to sit vacant? I would be hesitant to allow. Landlords already stress about management having no recourse for vacancy. Now you would literally be paying them for vacancy! In my opinion, this should be a customer service they provide for good will. Assuming the property is centrally located, it should not be strenuous to stop by the property when nearby.
