List of landlords for a class action against the states

David King
Posted

Just thought there should be a thread where the class action attorneys can go to get a list of plaintiffs who want to sue the states. I'm so in on suing the state governors just say the word.

5th Amendment US Constitution

"nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

(Forcing landlords to pay for the housing of tenants is contrary to this amendment)

Article 1, section 10, clause 1 US Constitution

... No State shall... pass any law impairing the obligation of contracts...

(Both the tenants and the landlords are under a contract this amendment says states can not pass laws contrary to our contracts)

These are just where they broke the US Constitution they likely broke state constitutions as well.

Fully support this, the constitution wasn't meant to be discarded during difficult times.  What good is it if it doesn't protect us during difficulties...there's no excuse for what's been done by some of the governors and the attorney general has started to allude to the same.  Would be happy to join a class action if someone starts it.  I'm in NJ

There needs to be consequences or the precedent of stripping away our rights when they are inconvenient will grow worse.
