Is it better to pay off just say 2 rental properties to completely maximize cashflow or buy multiple properties through financing? Do you think its easier to just deal with 2 properties then 10 with the same cashflow?

When the economy shuts down for 3 months and your tenants can't pay the rent, would you rather have a mortgage on 10 properties or 2 paid off properties?
