Fake Lease Squatters

We have a squatter in a property that has produced a fake lease, apparently signed with a fake property manager, changed the locks and refuses any communication with our real property manager. It seems this is a scam going on in the area with fake property manager signing leases on properties they do not manage, taking deposit and rents and disappearing. With the current moratorium on evictions, we can't evict. Anyone have any experience with this or success dealing with this?

I had that happen. I had to show up at the property, call the police, tell them someone broke into my property, showed them proof that I owned it, said I wanted to press charges. The police knocked on the door, asked the people for a lease agreement, and showed it to me and asked if that was my name or my agreement. I said "No".  And this happened . . .

They got free meals and a cot courtesy of the police deptartment.
