Landlords going against a lease

Coral Scholtisek
Posted

So this is my first time renting a home and a couple weeks ago we got a puppy which will be our second dog. When I brought it up to my landlord she told me I need to get rid of him, even though in my lease it says were allowed 2 dogs. She says her reasoning is because we already have a dog and 3 kids. Yet we keep our house clean and respect the property and we always pay rent on time. Can she legally do that?
