Hello BP'ers

Tenant moved out, she was suppose to hand me the keys 3 days ago but has stopped answering her phone. I passed by the property she has clearly moved out  7days ago. There no electric or water. I went by yesterday to visually inspect the property and noticed that there is a pitbull (fully grown) in the house and allot of her property, I gave her plenty of time to move out. What legal options do I have? Do I have to go to court? My concern is also the dog which probably doesn't have water and food? The tenant is also on section 8. I'm in Fort worth,Tx

This summer someone abandoned a sailboat-yes a sailboat-anchored in the bay near our property. Then a few days later a dog was heard barking on board. Fortunately some shell fishermen went out and rescued the dog. About a week later a big storm came along and the boat blew away. Thankfully the dog was no longer on board.

I cannot imagine sinking so low as to abandon your former loyal companion just like that. It is one thing to be stressed or ruined financially but WOW it sure says a lot about your complete lack of character if you walk away from your pet leaving them to die.
