Criminal background checks in NJ with new law?

Those of you in NJ, how do you go around this? Seems like our idiot governor made it so that you're forced to rent to tenants who were criminals . What do you guys do?

That was/is in effect in Oakland Ca as well. The mayor said LL would be fined a thousand dollars for an infraction. Just look at the quality of the tattoos and reject if you have any doubts. Politicians are going completely crazy and not doing their real jobs.
