Basement flooding coverage-Need Advice!
I own a house with basement in the midwest. The insurance -"rental dwelling policy" does NOT cover basement flooding due to sump pump malfunction or sewer backup. I called few companies but no one is able to help to add the back-up coverage. The renters insurance has coverage for the tenant’s personal property and NOT for the property. How do I obtain insurance to cover the property from basement flooding ?
