While there are still Deals to be found in NWA, some of our savvy investors are looking in nearby areas with higher returns and greater inventory. This month, find out what's going on outside NWA.

While there are risks to investing in areas where you can't "drive by" on a regular basis, the potential to increase your portfolio can be very attractive. Our Panel of Pros will share some of the pros and cons of nearby communities you may want to consider. They'll explore:

  • Due diligence in other localities
  • Our neighbors in the River Valley
  • Case study in Mountain Home
  • Mobile Home parks in Missouri
  • Oklahoma/Siloam Springs Market
  • Do's and Don'ts in a Remote locale

Rhonda Rowell is a seasoned investor currently residing in the Ft. Smith area. A retired Army Lt Colonel, she began investing while still in the army and hasn't stopped since. Rhonda frequently attends rei seminars where she has met like-minded investors. After much discussion, several of them began pooling their resources to invest across the country.

Joy Hagerty is an experienced investor – and tenacious overachiever. Starting with 15 years at WalMart, Joy earned an MBA and CPA. She is a Realtor working exclusively with investors. Beginning her investing career with a short term rental rehab, Joy has grown her residential portfolio to 30+ doors and entered the storage-commercial market.

Chaia Zellermeyer earned her success through persistence, diligent research and writing more offers than anyone else. While working a “J O B” job, Chaia started with residential flips, fearlessly moved on to building, developing and now working on commercial projects. Her specialty is using joint ventures to leverage her resources to grow her portfolio.

Jon Jouvenaux is President of BBB Septic and Portable Toilets. An active investor for 15+ years, he brings the perfect combination of knowledgeable expertise in all things septic and the instincts and know-how of a savvy investor. Jon has been a Champion of REI NWA, a mentor and guide to many investors and is well-respected in the NWA community.
