What happens when you are partners in life as well as partners in investing? What are the benefits and challenges of this type of dynamic? Even if your business partner is not a spouse, but a friend, how can blurring the lines between personal and professional affect your relationship?
We are ready to tackle those questions and many more as we talk to power couples for our first quarterly social of 2024! Learn what it’s like when you share a life as well as an investing business and find out how these couples make it work. How do they balance their personal and professional relationships, while handling conflicts that arise from their investment decisions? Join Jacob and Arleen Garza, and Shenoah and Phillip Grove, as they share their tips for investing with your partner. If you live in Austin, you’ll want to attend in person for the opportunity to network with other investors, while enjoying dinner and drinks on us!
6-7 pm – Networking and enjoy free beer/wine and dinner.
7-8pm – Panelist Presentations and Q&A
8pm – After presentation, attendees may pitch deals to the in-person audience
Our Panelists:
Jacob and Arleen Garza founded Real Estate Equity Partners (REEP Equity) in 2012. Together they share over two decades of real estate experience. Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, their firm is focused on acquiring underperforming, income-producing, multifamily investment opportunities in Texas. REEP Equity is vertically integrated with its sister company, REEP Residential. The companies’ focus on the multifamily sector and pledge incomparable commitment and service to both its residents and investors. Since 2012, REEP Equity has bought, sold, and managed over 4,560 units, taking 9 properties full cycle. The current portfolio of seventeen properties totals 4,560 units worth over $450MM.
Shenoah Grove is a fourth generation Texas real estate investor and owner of Texas REIAs. She started investing in 2003 and became a full-time investor in 2004. Shenoah and her husband, Phillip Grove, have transacted over 1,000 real estate deals. In addition, they have trained over 87,000 real estate investors on how to complete creative real estate transactions that work in every part of the market cycle. As a result of their knowledge and success, neither of them has had to rely on “taking a paycheck” from anyone else since 2003.
