What happens when you are partners in life as well as partners in investing? What are the benefits and challenges of this type of dynamic? Even if your business partner is not a spouse, but a friend, how can blurring the lines between personal and professional affect your relationship?
We are ready to tackle those questions and many more as we talk to power couples at our Austin, Dallas, and Houston offices for our first quarterly social of 2024! Learn what it’s like when you share a life as well as an investing business and find out how these couples make it work. How do they balance their personal and professional relationships, while handling conflicts that arise from their investment decisions? Join Eddie and Martha Speed, and Sean and Diana Thomson as they share their tips for investing with your partner.
If you live near one of our offices, you’ll want to attend in person for the opportunity to network with other investors, while enjoying dinner and drinks on us!
6-7 pm – Networking and enjoy free beer/wine and dinner.
7-8pm – Panelist Presentations and Q&A (will be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook)
8pm – After presentation, attendees may pitch deals to the in-person audience
Since 1980, Eddie & Martha Speed have helped buyers, sellers, and realtors close more deals with creative financing—even during the most challenging markets. Eddie has personally closed around 50,000 note deals, and his unique industry vantage point has allowed him to review close to half a million note deals. Martha capitalizes on the opportunity of buying performing notes for their SDIRAs. Eddie is the founder of NoteSchool, where he has helped thousands of investors scale up their business, become deal architects, build long term wealth, and think like entrepreneurs. He is also the owner and president of Colonial Funding Group LLC, which acquires and trades real estate secured notes. Eddie is highly sought after to speak at real estate events and masterminds across the country.
Sean Thomson is founder and CEO of Thomson Multi-Family Group. During the past decade, Sean has been perfecting his processes of scouting, acquiring, and investing in real estate. He loves to find and encourage fellow investors, so he founded Thomson Multi-Family Group to allow interested, accredited, and sophisticated investors to partake in the investment opportunities that he develops throughout the country. Diana Thomson has a background in the retail industry with 32 years of experience managing over $1 billion in sales and inventory. In the summer of 2020, Diana decided to move on from the retail industry and join the Thomson Multifamily Group as the Chief Operations Officer.
