On the last Saturday of each month, we tour two houses with our students. We go over how to establish a Scope of Work, the Rehab Costs, and the After Repair Value (ARV). Some of the items covered are:
- Roofs
- Electrical Systems
- Plumbing
- Structural Issues
- Kitchen/Bath Remodels
- What level of upgrades would the neighborhood support
- Whether to remove walls to open up spaces, add baths and/or bedrooms.
After each house, we use the Invest Success Deal/No Deal Calculator to determine whether the project is a deal.
