Hey everyone in the Lakewood, Olympia, Tacoma, Montesano, Seattle and everywhere else in the Pacific NW... I'm putting together a meet up at the Ram in Lakewood on April 17th at 7:00 PM...please post if you will join us for a
Meet & greet. Chat about REI strategies, discuss ideas and share contacts!
Please note: there is no public pitching, no cost to attend, and no sponsor. Also, it's casual so dress however you feel most comfortable. My only request is that you buy at least one drink (non-alcoholic is fine) from the bar to support The Ram for allowing us to use their space.
I also have it on good athority Mr. Brandon Turner will be in attendance . Hope to see you there.

Thanks for putting the meetup together last night! It was great to be part of the local BP community last night! I noticed that not everyone that I met last night posted on the thread, so if you are following the thread folks, just say hi so that we can all connect and become colleagues (it makes it easier to help introduce you to other investors or invite you to future meetups).
We all should be making colleague connections with people you met last night so that we can stay connected better. And then to make the connections more meaningful, jump on this thread real quick and say something about the people that you met last night so we can all get an idea of who was there and the great conversations that were had.
@Dustin Little great meeting you last night! Sounds like you are on the right track! Remember to connect to @Elizabeth Colegrove and find out how to write a great lease that allows her to manage her military properties from long away!
@Tarin Todd - I'll be interested in the areas that you look at for finding properties! I forgot to mention that you might find it easier to build your capital base by getting into rehabbing hudstore properties instead of spending your initial capital on building a marketing campaign.
@Melissa Melia - Ballard! Those are some pretty crazy number you are talking about, I'm impressed! And also kind of sad that you are more on the path of my crazy Bay area friends like @J Martin!
@Stevie Ackerman - don't worry about too much of that overhead stuff until you get close to your first deal. You'll get lost in the forest by trying to see the trees.
@Scott Price - I definitely wish we had had a little more time to talk, thanks for being one of the last ones out with @Lori Valene, @Kevin C. and I! I found the topic of REAPS very interesting and you just might have changed my mind on the subject!
and of course @Brandon Turner always great to see you, we are beard brothers through and through, thanks for bringing your wife to the meeting.
To everyone else who I talked to but didn't mention, no slight intended (I've got a self imposed weekend BP- time limit, you know so I don't spend all day not going outside!)
To everyone who I didn't get a chance to meet stay tuned, Kevin, @Tiffany Plovie and I are planning on coordinating more meetups every month so we can all become a big family of investors!
